The story is about a young boy who has amassed a collection of toys, clothing, and other personal items and is very happy about his possessions. The only problem is in the way he acquired them. When someone would leave an item on the school playground, Robert would keep the item for himself rather than returning the item to its owner. Robert didn't consider the feelings of the person that lost the item, thinking it was fine for him to keep the lost item for himself since he was the one who found it. Robert continued with his selfish behavior until he lost a personal item of his own that was very dear to him. Once this happened, his feelings changed completely.
