The subject of eschatology has become a popular subject. For Jews, it means the first appearance of a messiah, and for Christians, it means the second appearance of a savior. And the most frequently asked question is, when will it happen? Ever since the crucifixion, many have predicted and anticipated that Jesus would return soon. After two thousand years, those predictions have been proven false. The second advent remains elusive. Why have people expected his return? Why have the predictions failed? Why did people want Jesus dead? Was his trial legal? When will he return? Will he return in our lifetime? In his book, The Return of Christ, Randy Skirvin will take the reader on a journey to find the answers to these questions and more. This book includes biblical evidence supporting the predictions and promises of the return of our Savior, as well as the reliability of those predictions.
The reader will study scripture and examine the political and social practices of Jesus’s era. You will look at the origins of the Jewish lunar calendar, feasts, holidays, and wedding practices to discover their significance to Jesus’s return. You will realize the certainty and the importance of the rapture as it relates to the Second Coming. And you will solve the mathematical word problem presented by an archangel to Daniel to discover when Jesus will return! After reading this book, you will be convinced that Christ will return soon, and it could happen in our lifetime!
