Arbor Day? What's Arbor Day all about, and why do you plant trees on Arbor Day? Where did it all begin? Well, the book, Arbor Day, came about after the author, a 6th grade elementary school teacher, was asked that question. Not knowing the answers, he had to find out for himself. After a little research and some poetic creativity, that is when he wrote this narrative poem to answer these questions. To find out the roots of the holiday and why people plant trees on Arbor Day, you will have to dig up a copy of the book, open the pages of this wonderfully illustrated book, travel back in time, and discover this for yourself.
