Acknowledging the agility and resilience of the Hummingbird, as A Trail to Prosperity reviews legal immigration. This little but feisty and determined nomad would stop at nothing in its drive to locate flower gardens for its survival. In many ways, the Hummingbird is likened to an immigrant. Whether they arrive by commercial flight or some other means, they aspire toward safety, escape from hardship and persecution, and seek an opportunity to contribute. To the extent they pursue legal means to get in, their efforts deserve to be rewarded with the access they seek. The diversity that their presence injects only enriches and brings a better understanding between communities. Ignorance of the other triggers unnecessary tension and cycles of hate, which is painful but only delays the inevitable. A Trail to Prosperity highlights a typical legal immigration process, how excruciatingly exhausting and costly it could be, that the last thing a candidate out of that process needs afterward is exposure to xenophobia or any sort of discrimination. Hopefully, this book offers helpful awareness and grounds for understanding.
