Bread for the Journey is a daily devotional based on selected scriptures in consecutive order from Genesis through Revelation. These pages cover topics such as being made in the image of God, finding forgiveness, rejoicing through difficulties, using one's giftings, inner healing, obedience, surrender, and living with the assurance that we are in the arms of Jesus.
Lois Elliot Morse was motivated by a deep desire to communicate the love of Jesus Christ, the assurance that He cares, and the joy that comes from obeying the Word of God.
Lois was born in 1933. As a young child, she wanted to someday be a missionary. In 1953 Lois married LaVerne Morse, a missionary who had grown up in China. They lived in a small village near the Himalayan Mountains. Her specialty was teaching music to the people in the many surrounding villages. Later in life, Lois inspired countless people with her writing and speaking. She spoke in eighteen US states, Canada, and three Southeast Asian countries. She was known in Asia as Lo-Ye M.M. or "Teacher Lois."
