The author describes how God took her out of two very abusive relationships—an abusive relationship with her mother and an abusive marriage. Some of the poems just express a romantic side, like her conversations with the Lord. God's love can transform us in a way that we could never imagine. Through Jesus Christ, we find who lives within us and the person whom God created us to be.
