Ever felt like expressing yourself to others was just a waste of time? Or a view they can't see? Well, as a survivor of life, growing up in the system into adulthood came with battling your demons and the system to survive. Most times expressing verbally became a heartache and despair of others not understanding. Each poem that I've written started as an outlet to express emotions and unusual thoughts, which turned into something greater: a safe space to be free of judgment. My intentions are to motivate others who may have shared similar backgrounds or experiences but didn't know how to let it out. Be heard in their own soul that they can create their own story.
