It is my hope that thereader studies this book before purchasing their first large guardianpup. Training and maintaining a large guardian dog can be very timeconsuming early in the training stages, but the reward is well worththe peace of mind one will experience for the years that follow. Oneof the best lessons I have learned is that our large guardian dogsare forgiving of my shortcomings as a herd and dog owner. Often theyknow and understand more about what is going on than I do.
