In 2020 the Covid pandemic was happening rapidly, changing everyone's life. Stores closed, there was a shelter in place for a whole year and death filled the air spreading like wildfires on a hot windy day. News ran its course, families were destroyed, healthcare workers at their breaking point. Hell happened while political monarchy surrounded the world. What were we to do? A time for reflection and reevaluation. Only jobs available were of three choices, Amazon, Federal Express and Doordash. Families trapped with each other, forcing love and patience to develop. Parents celebrating their precious moments that were lost in the hustle and bustle of the working world. Time stopped, not knowing what day was coming. Society began to change rapidly, and fear lit up the sky.Prayers lined up asking, "God save me!" We had to look at ourselves in all its chaos through a cracked mirror of the unknown. Personally, I grabbed my laptop to save me. It was my therapy. My mind began to settle with the notion of peace amongst the tragedy we faced. An idea flew along, to find an outlet for all these emotions. A calm summer day I started reading and posting poems of all types, pretty much the steppingstones of my journey through what we call life. I brought out real issues, fun, and fantasy as a place to escape from reality. My creativity got bigger, so I started my own poetry group called Language From The Heart Poetry. During this adventure I met a wonderful human who enjoyed my art of poetry as much as I did. A man known for his own phenomenal works of writing in all forms. Also known as the man with the golden pen. He was intelligent and had brilliant status, I was pleased. Poetry connects people because it is the language, we all have in our hearts. This man and I spoke the same language. The camaraderie of poetry bonded us. An incredible friendship developed, and a working/writing collaboration began. Our work was full of passion. So, I asked him to partner with me on making an art site where we can share literature, music, and storytelling in all forms. He gladly accepted. Thank you to my friend and coauthor Mr. Dost Muhammad Rajper. We realized we were meant to collide in this common journey. Our art combined expressed some of the most brilliant pieces of poetry work I have ever seen. We realized we are better together. The book therefore began its journey to infancy, "Me and Blue".
