Red is a twenty–two–year–old pool hustler in Southern California in 1987. A bartender by trade, she serves drinks during the day and haunts the pool rooms at night, taking on all comers.
Along the way, she meets Frank the Barber, the best player on the West Coast. She dreams of being the best, and to do that, she knows she'll have to beat him.
What she doesn't know is that she has a stalker. He doesn't care about pool games. He only cares about satisfying his wicked desires. Now Red is the focus of those desires.
One night, she finds herself in his clutches. No one is coming to her rescue. Her salvation is up to her and her alone. Ultimately, she decides to hustle him, a hustle that has nothing to do with pool.
It will have to be the hustle of her life.
